The videos listed are for use by users of the Information Channel on Mace projects. They relate to Mace procedures and as such may vary from the way the system is used on other projects. Publishing Drawings & Documents

27 Batch Upload If you wish to upload more then one drawing or document at a time then it is best to use the batch upload facility. This video shows you how to upload pre registered drawings.
7 Batch Publishing using CSV Data File Template The Batch Upload with Template is the best method to use If you wish to upload more then one drawing or document at a time. The Drawing deatils are input into a spreadsheet which is then used to concurrently upload the drawings. This video shows you how to upload large batches of drawings using the spreadsheet template.
22 Publishing a Transmittal Each drawing/document on the Information Channel is to be associated to a transmittal/issue sheet.There may be occassion when you need to group a large batch of information i.e. Employers Requirements or Contract Set of drawings; this video shows how this can be done.

3 Forward drawings or documents Used for any user wishing to forward a document to another user on the system.
32 Forward a group of drawings or drawings Sometimes a user needs to forward a group of drawings to a colleague. This can be done by adding the documents/drawings to the basket and using the batch forward function.
33 Review the distribution for a document If you would like to know who a document has been issued to to and who has viewed a particular document then you need to view the document submittal report.
34 View a list of drawings issued to a particular company It is sometimes necessary to view or export a list of drawings/documents issued to a particular company. There is a report that shows this.
35 View a list of drawings issued by a particular company It is sometimes necessary to view or export a list of drawings/documents issued by a particular company. There is a report that shows this.

Commenting

Ref Video Description
26 Batch Commenting There are occasions when it may be desirable to select a group of drawings/documents and apply the same comment to all of them. E.g. to say No Comment. This video shows how this can be done.
28 Comment on a drawing (redline method) Where a comment is to be added to a drawing so that the comment will be printed as part of the drawing then this method of commenting should be adopted.
29 Comment on a drawing (text method) Where a comment is to be added to a drawing and the comment does not fundamentally alter the drawing then a basic text comment can be used.
30 Comment on a drawing without opening the drawing If you need to make a comment on a drawing that you have viewed in paper format then it is not essential to open the drawing in order to comment. This video shows how this can be done.

Company Administration & User Management

52 Changing Document Details

Once a document is published to the Information Channel you may wish to change some of its details. E.g. make it inactive, change it to a private document, update the title or even move it to another register. This video shows the process. The steps can be carried out by users who have the rights to update their document register.

Print Orders

Tendering

41 Issue a tender Used by Mace Document Controllers or Package Managers to issue a group of documents/drawings to a group of bidders.
42 Receive a Tender When a bidder receives a bid they can add the files to a basket for printing or downloading or just view them online with the BIW's own viewer.
43 Raise a tender Query A bidder may raise a query to Mace which can either be answered by Mace or passed to designers for a response.
44 Raise a Tender Addendum Used if Mace wish to issue an addendum, new drawings/documents or just issue a point for clarification
45 Respond to a Tender When a bidder is ready to issue their bid they can do so via the system. It will be hidden until the agreed bid opening date.
